Suzanne and Phil’s Winter Beeston Manor Wedding

I met Suzanne and Phil when I first started out on my wedding photography journey and I was super excited when they chose me to photograph their Winter Beeston Manor wedding.

Beeston Manor is a beautiful multi award winning wedding venue set in 140 acres of land at Hoghton near Preston. It is a beautifully converted 16th Century barn complete with oak beams and sandstone walls. It’s a beautiful venue for a winter wedding, the room was set up on the morning of the wedding with pretty fairy lights draped on the beams and a sparkly backdrop. The room looked stunning and the staff worked super hard to ensure that the wedding day was just perfect for them both, and for my first visit they were also brilliant to work with.

Suzanne spent a lot of time before the wedding carefully setting up her tables, each having a gin based theme along with photos of them each as children, such a lovely touch. She also gave Sarah Nelson’s Grasmere Gingerbread as favours to the guests. Phil’s dad even made the wedding cake! The guests loved the games which they provided on the tables and I loved photographing the guests playing with them, the wedding breakfast was full of fun and laughter.

For evening entertainment Phil’s friend Jon played guitar with the band The Wayfarers closing the night and they did an excellent job at getting everyone up and dancing!

Just before I left for the night I gathered the guests outside for the sparkler shots which always make for spectacular photos.

The weather stopped us from having many photo’s outside but that didn’t matter, with such a beautiful venue it wasn’t hard to find stunning backdrops for the couples and guests portraits.

I had such a lovely day and their winter wedding allowed me a chance to get creative with my low light and night time shots.

A massive thanks to Suzanne and Phil for choosing me to capture their special day, I had so much fun with them and their guests.
